The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and Thinking Media are pleased to announce a new grant opportunity designed to support student interest, awareness and skill development in relation to STEM careers.

Grant funds will be made available to provide school-wide access and teacher development and support for the implementation of the Learning Blade system. Learning Blade is an online, supplemental STEM career awareness system that
builds awareness and interest in STEM careers;
demonstrates the relevance of academics to careers;
helps prepare students with online academic lessons; and
aligns to middle school standards.
This competitive grant opportunity is open to all middle schools in Georgia; however, priority will be given to schools currently on the Chronically Failing Schools list. Applications will be accepted through September 15, 2017.

Click here to access the online application.

If you have questions about this grant opportunity, please feel free to contact Stacey Lutz, Program Manager for Strategic Professional Learning at stacey.lutz@georgia.gov or Dr. Cayanna Good, Deputy Director, Innovation and Academic Strategy, at cgood@georgia.gov .
