Application Process

- All applications judged by the State Awards Committee will be screened by the Professional Recognition Chair(s) to ensure that they meet the GSCA eligibility requirements. The committee’s job is to select a state winner for each if represented. If your district has a specific process, please follow those guideline as well.
- GSCA members should contact the Advocacy Chair if they wish to nominate a Legislator of the Year; the Legislator of the Year will be recommended by the Advocacy Committee for Executive Board approval.
- GSCA members should contact the GSCA President if they wish to nominate for the Lifetime Achievement Award; the award will be selected by the Executive Board

The region and state winners were recognized at the Annual Conference Opening Session and at the GSCA Awards Ceremony and Reception on Thursday, November 10, at the Marriott City Center in Macon, Georgia. Our nineteen Georgia Ramp winners were also recognized during the awards ceremony where GSCA honored our award winners this year!
PROBE Executive Director Bill Smith presented gifts to all of the secondary school winners along with a $1,000.00 scholarship to be awarded to a senior of their choice. In a moving presentation, Gail Smith, President of GSCA awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award to Myra Chandler, 1999-2000 GSCA Past President.
