2023 Georgia School Counselor of the Year and Awards Recipients
GSCA is delighted to announce the 2023 award recipients:
- Georgia School Counselor of the Year – Gabrielle Brundidge, Lee Roy Myers Middle School, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System
- School Counselor of the Year Semi-Finalist – Dr. Natalie Pugh, Gwin Oaks Elementary School, Gwinnett County Public Schools
- School Counselor of the Year Semi-Finalist – Bianca Walker, Betty Gray Middle School, Cobb County School District
- Supervisor/Administrator of the Year – Dr. Melisa Marsh, Cobb County School District Central Office, Supervisor of School Counseling, Cobb County School District
- Advocate of the Year – Dr. Grant Rivera, Superintendent of Schools, Marietta City School District (nominated by Cobb School Counselor Association)
- Emerging Leader – Jeanettea Mayle, Jefferson County Middle School, Jefferson County School District (nominated by Monica Pace)
- Business Partner – NorthStar Church (nominated by Department of School Counseling, Cobb County School District)
- Writer of the Year- Teshia Dula, Gwinnett Online Campus, Gwinnett County Public Schools
